trailer break: ‘Doctor Who’: “The Waters of Mars”
Take a break from work: watch a TV trailer...
(more below the ad... scroll down...)
If this is a “certain moment” that “has to stand,” does the Doctor mean that he cannot change or even try to change whatever bad thing is happening on Mars?
Cuz that would be kinda cool, in a dramatic sense, for the Doctor to have to stand aside and not do anything to “help” -- or might even have to help the universe along by stopping others from trying to stop whatever the bad thing is that’s going on...
Imagine the torture for the Doctor if this were the case.
Um, Doctor... I hear someone knocking...
Doctor Who: “The Water of Mars” debuts in the U.K. on BBC One “later in the year,” and in the U.S. sometime after that, if we’re lucky.

That's kind of like what happened in The Fires of Pompeii in Season 4.

Except without Donna to check him.

Which is probably where Davies is going, here.

Waiting for this episode is excruciating. Have you seen the comic con Christmas 09 teaser trailer yet?

*sigh*
According to this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TK44RCF9tFM, about 2:00 in) of the Doctor Who panel at Comic Con, Murry Gold started sobbing uncontrollably, 20 minutes from the end of the Finali. Why do we do this to ourselves?

Why do we do it to ourselves? Because it's FUN!

Looks like a pleasing throwback to the B-movie homages of The Impossible Planet - with any luck without the pseudometaphysical goofiness of The Satan Pit. I've been pretty unimpressed with recent Who, but this one might just pull it off. Love those proper switchy control panels, and the shock cones in the rocket exhaust.

what i'm assuming from that clip is that he has to leave them to die. or will he have to blow them to pieces? looks dark - goodie!!!
the other trailer is up on utube - the one with the hooded blond (see boyfriend)
