caption this! image from ‘Serious Moonlight’

New fun for Wednesdays! We look at an image from an upcoming movie and write snarky, witty, or otherwise entertaining captions for it. No prizes, it’s just for fun.

Serious Moonlight is the directorial debut of actress Cheryl Hines, and it was written by Adrienne Shelly, who was murdered in 2006 just as her film Waitress was beginning to make a splash.

Bummer. But we can still have fun with the movie.

The film stars Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristen Bell, and Justin Long. The synopsis, courtesy of Magnolia Pictures:

SERIOUS MOONLIGHT is about a troubled marriage on the precipice, centering on a high-powered female attorney who learns that her husband is about to leave her for a much younger woman, and holds him captive until he promises to stay with her and love her forever.

Serious Moonlight will be available on demand through Magnolia’s Ultra VOD program, and will open in theatrical release in the U.S. in early December.

Visit the film’s IMDB page for more info.

"Still won't promise? Have it your way. I hope you remembered to put on a pair of Depends."

Hoping to prove her dramatic chops after a long career in romantic comedies, Meg Ryan takes the lead role in a new off-off-Broadway production of Death and the Maiden.

frankly, i don't know how a caption could be any funnier than the summary for the movie.

"Do you love me yet?"

"Tim, I'm afraid I'm getting a little tired of starring opposite Oscar-winning men and not having one. So you're just going to have to sit there until I get my own. So, you just face the camera and do a nice hostage tape for the Academy now, OK?"

One more time, sweetheat. Is she prettier than me?

"Oops, maybe 'ducttape' shouldn't have been my safeword."

So, Meg, what the hell happened to your lips?

"So if you're really the reincarnation of Houdini, prove it!"

Hutton: "I didn't mean it when I said In The Cut is just like The Piano except the audience feels like cutting its own fingers off to liven things up a bit. Really, I didn't!
Say anything you want about Turk 182. Anything."

"I'm sorry, Tim, but this is the only way I can get people to actually sit through 'Against the Ropes'."

"There is nothing to worry about. You are going to be just fine. I am your number one fan."

LOL amanohyo wins. Nice one.

"Please...Comic-Con's got to be over by now..."
