Katherine Heigl would just shut up if she knew what was good for her...
...even if there are no decent roles for women in Hollywood, the value of female film critics, and Don Draper, the perfect imperfect man.
Yup, it’s more The Week in Women, over at the Alliance of Women Film Journalists. Enjoy.

KH complaining about the hours she works on GA annoys me as much as Simon Baker complaining about the hours he worked on The Guardian
on Hollywood's roles for women? - she has my entire sympathy

It's amazing how easy it is for a woman to annoy others by, you know, just having an opinion.

And yet for every Mad Men which benefits from the input of talented female writers, there is all too often a Grey's Anatomy or a Point Pleasant which manages to stink despite being written--or even created--by a female writer.
That said, having grown up around relatives who were young adults in Don Draper's era, I've been curious to find out if the show Mad Men lives up to its hype or whether it is another "overappreciated" exercise in pointing out "how bad things used to be."
So I guess I'm going to have to actually break down and rent it someday...
