Really, who lets their 9 year old see Alien in 1979? Let alone by an action figure...

Chuck, even way back in 1979 there were bad parents who didn't know they shouldn't let their kids see movies like Alien.

Beyond that, there were plenty more parents who would let their kids make them feel guilty about not letting them see such movies, and who might attempt to buy back some of their child's affection with movie merch.

Actually I saw alien at 11 and conan the barbarian around the same time.

I actually remember that add, funny.
