question of the day: What movie most feels like Monday morning to you?Ah, what a weekend I’ve had. I was at a cousin’s wedding celebrations on both Saturday and Sunday, got home last night just in time to collapse, hit the ground running the first thing this morning to return a rental car, hit a press event for Jane Campion’s new film, Bright Star, and now is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and whip up a Question of the Day: What movie most feels like Monday morning to you? Whatever Monday morning means to you: the end of the weekend, the back-to-work (or school) slog, anything. Happy Monday... I guess... (If you have a suggestion for a QOTD, feel free to email me. Since I work two 16hr shifts on Sat and Sun, Mondays are the first day of a 5 day vacation for me. In which case I choose The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, because it too makes me extraordinarily happy.

Yes, I used to work on weekends too--only my shifts were about 12 hours--so Monday morning often feels like weekend time for me too.
Unfortunately, I'd often have to go back to childhood shows like The Flintstones--and of course, that famous/infamous/whatever opening--to find something that captures my emotions for Monday morning so well.
Then again I usually spend most of that day sleeping...

For many people, it might be "Shawn of the Dead," but I have the good fortune of liking my job. Really, my Monday is more like a typical John Cusack movie: the befuddled opening of a story for a befuddled character who just wants to chat up a storm and met a nice, cute woman (and by nice I mean that literally).

it feels like " Rocky" yeah sure you have to wake up early and breakfast sucks, but eat it and get out there.

Groundhog Day.
Yes, the movie is great, but that feeling of waking up to the same old thing every morning? Monday.
