watch it: the first 8 minutes of ‘V’

Okay, I know it’s gonna be stupid, and I know ABC is gonna jerk us around by airing the first four episodes and then pulling the show till next year, but I can’t help it -- I’m psyched.

Spectacular in some ways, but that is so not New York City. Hmm, could it be, I dunno, Los Angeles standing in?

Didja notice the “Oceanic Plaza” sign? There been at least one billboard for Oceanic Airlines -- from ABC’s Lost, of course -- in Flashforward, too...

(V gets the reboot on ABC on Tuesday, November 3.)

So... the Aliens are trying to convince us they are our friends and they want to make nicey nicey. Why fly in over our cities, presumably killing hundreds with tremors and jets falling out of the sky? Sillyness I tell you.
