trailer break: ‘It’s Complicated’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer...

It’s not really that complicated, actually. Nancy Meyers makes movies that look like Pottery Barn catalogues, populated by people who aren’t really people. Evidence: The Holiday, Something's Gotta Give, and What Women Want.

And this looks like more of the same.

It’s Complicated opens in the U.S. on December 25, and in the U.K. on January 8, 2010.

At least, having seen the trailer, I know exactly what will happen in the film and so I have no need to watch it. Why, that wasn't complicated at all.

(When did Steve Martin start looking like an anthromorphic robot?)
