I’ve seen this film twice now, and I am bursting to say all sorts of stuff about it, and I am forbidden from doing so under pain of death from The Weinstein Company. (Obviously, some other critics were either not threatened with torture, or figured they’d call Weinstein on its bluff.)
Anyway... boy, Kate Hudson really does look more and more like her mom, doesn’t she, especially in this 1960s stuff, eh?
Nine opens in limited release in the U.S. on December 18, and wide on December 25; opens in the U.K. on December 18.

I didn't know if you'd seen this yet or not...looking forward to reading what you've got to say!
Am a big fan of the stage show, and one thing I've noticed with some folks whose reviews HAVE shown up is that about half of them don't get it. I've been thinking "Maryann will understand this..."

I'm looking forward to seeing this (it opens here in Italy in January), with conflicting emotions.
Fellini's 8-1/2 has long been my favorite film and I was intrigued by the idea of a musical based on it. I never had the opportunity to see 'Nine' on stage, but the music I've heard from the show leaves me cold. Hardly a good sign for a musical.
So I can't wait to hear what Marryann has to say about it.
