John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together is my favorite Christmas album [Amazon U.S.] [Amazon U.K.], and the Alfie song always makes me cry. The TV special has never been released on VHS or DVD, but it does all seem to be up on YouTube.

This really was wonderful. John Denver was perfect for any of Jim Henson's shows. He was without cynicism, full of kindness just as the muppets Jim Henson espoused.

My holiday tear-jerker is the final act of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode, "Amends" (aka "A Very Buffy Christmas"). I can't help myself tearing up when Buffy and Angel walk in the snow, holding hands knowing that Angel has been granted a second chance from on high.
