trailer break: ‘When in Rome’Take a break from work: watch a trailer... OMG! Kristen Bell is soooo cute! It’s always adorable when cute little blondes are klutzes! OMG! It’s so true that cute little blondes have sooooo much trouble attracting men! OMG! Thank god for magic, which is the only way a cute little blonde could get a date, even if she has to put up with some frogs before she finds her prince! LOL!! OMG! Josh Duhamel is sooooo cute!! And it’s soooo funny when he walks into the tree! Cuz it’s true! *grrr* They say “directed by Mark Steven Johnson” like it’s a good thing. He gave us Ghost Rider and Daredevil. Do they really want people running to IMDB him? When in Rome opens in the U.S. and Canada on January 29, and in the U.K. on April 23. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

I've been really disappointed with Kristin Bell's [strike]choices[/strike] options in scripts after Veronica Mars. She was awesome then, and she's awesome in interviews (she goes on Craig Ferguson every few months or so even when she doesn't have a movie), but, probably due to the paucity of what I would call good high-paying roles for women in movies, she keeps having to do this dreck.
As for this dreck...eeyurgh. As a wise person once said, "I want a moratorium on romantic movies that involve impossible situations. Not 'ugly guy gets hot girl' [I would add, judging by the movies, ugly women getting a hot man is less likely than Harry Potter being a true story], more like Kate & Leopold, or Enchanted, or The Time Traveler's Wife.
When you have to violate the laws of physics to find love, you should just fucking kill yourself because you're unlovable."

This looks dreadful, and I didn't even have sound.
