bias update: February 4

obsession: Canadian TV (and film) (because I’m hungry for something new and good)

boyfriend: Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes (sexiest Holmes ever)

psyched: The Wolfman (because I adore Benicio Del Toro)

girl crush: Vera Farmiga in Up in the Air (because she’s too cool)

dreading: Cop Out (why, Kevin Smith? why?)

enemy: everyone connected with Tooth Fairy (for totally misunderstanding fantasy)

So, uh...have you actually gotten around to watching any of the Canadian TV shows and/or films that have been recommended?

I have to second somebody's recommendation of New Waterford Girl. Both Liane Balaban and Tara Spencer-Nairn are awesome in it.

Second that- I'd love to know how the Canadian content marathon is going. Have you seen anything particularly interesting? Are you still in the middle of Paul Gross's stuff?

And New Waterford Girl is hilarious. But having been to New Waterford and having not lasted 10 minutes there, (it is pretty though) I'm kind of biased.
