Okay, so the Tim Tebow anti-abortion Super Bowl ad -- which had a lot of people raging mad over CBS’s hypocrisy regarding which ads it accepted for the game, and which it didn’t -- has garnered quite a bit of intriguing response. Like these glorious tweets from Erick Erickson, editor in chief of right-wing blog RedState.com:

I’m pretty pissed off at this, because clearly time travel does exist, and Erickson has journeyed from the late 19th century, when suffragettes were commonly accepted to be the most hideous women on the planet. Where’s my trip in the TARDIS, eh?

See? See? Erickson got a stop in the 1960s, too, in the time before women realized that damn, bras are way too expensive to burn. This is so not fair!

And Erickson got to go to the 1990s, and to a parallel universe where women get to whack their men in the head with shovel-like implements. It’s not fair! This feminazi wants to spade a man!

Sigh, it's the oldest slur in the book, that feminists are ugly man-haters. Unfortunately, it's believed by a healthy portion of the population here in USA. So I can't just laugh it off, even though his ridiculous ignorance is pathetic and hilarious.
Because wanting equal rights/treatment as full human beings = CASTRATION!!!1! These anti-feminists jump to peen-chopping right away. It betrays their raw fear of women who have agency.
It might blow Erick's tiny mind to learn that the majority of straight feminists are in relationships with men or have been. I myself am happily married. Not that that even matters, because part of being a feminist is not basing your worth as a human being on whether men find you fuckable or not. It's not important, except to troglodytes like Erick.

Well, that's exactly the thought process at work. Remember that bigotry has always been "No matter how shitty my life is, at least I'm still better than a n_gger/sp_c/w_p/ch_nk/k_ke/m_ck/c_nt." Add to that the sex drive - "Not only will that bitch not let me fuck her, she won't even let me have total control over her life" - and to these people, it's absolutely about castration. All very lizard brain, but true.

I totally wasn't going to go there, since -- apparently -- Erickson is married, and so that probably means that at least one woman finds him not so repulsive as to refuse him. But a gal does have to wonder about any man who isn't at least as globally acclaimed as indisputatable physically attractive as a George Clooney or a Brad Pitt daring to talk about the attractiveness of (imaginary) women. I honestly do try to think the best of anyone until they prove themselves unworthy of it, but I worry about Erickson's wife. How does she live with a man who considers her a lesser being just because she doesn't have a penis?

Now, I admit, I am a very cynical person, so this might just be me jumping immediately to the worst case. But it's entirely possible that SHE considers herself a lesser being because she doesn't have a penis. There's plenty of women out there who are raised to think that and never get away from it.
