trailer break: ‘Iron Sky’ teaserTake a break from work: watch a trailer... There’s no actual footage from this film in the trailer, because it hasn’t begun production yet, but it’s labeled a “scifi comedy from the creators of Star Wreck,” so it’s not likely to be as intense as this beautiful teaser would suggest. I mean, “space Nazis on the attack!” could as easily be a dark thriller as a science fiction satire. There’s lots of ways to support the filmmakers, if you care about ensuring that nontraditional, nonstudio independent filmmaking can thrive: You can buy “war bonds,” among other things, at the film’s offiical site. I’m looking forward to this one... Iron Sky is in preproduction. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Star Wreck was a fanboy's dream of lots (and lots) of (pretty decent) CGI of ships from Star Trek and Babylon 5 in a huge space battle, beating the crap out of each other and exploding. I'd say a good 60% of the running time was taken up by a huge explody firefight. The rest of the movie was really just something to drape the battle around... the story was screwball, the acting was piss poor and the production values really, really jarred with the quite good CGI work.
They've got 5 million euros for this apparently. I hope they use the budget a little more wisely. I reckon this could be fun though.. and the teaser is beautiful.
