more ‘Doctor Who’ fan fiction

Are you sitting down? I’ve finally posted the next installment in my ongoing Doctor Who fan fiction story Tristan’s Father.

It’s been almost a year since I posted the previous installment, which I acknowledge is just plain crazy. What forced me back to it -- it’s always running through my head, but finding the time to actually work on it is tough -- is that I spent last weekend writing a short story for submission to Big Finish, the audiobook/audio drama outfit that is collecting pieces for an upcoming audiobook anthology of Doctor Who stories. (If they don’t buy the story, I’ll post it over at my other site, of course.)

That experience reminded me how much pleasure and satisfaction I get out of crafting a piece of fiction, which is different from the pleasure and satisfaction I get out of crafting a movie review. So I was forced back to the fanfic in an attempt to get more of that high. I hope to be able to do more fiction writing soon... and not just fan fiction.

Oh! THANK! you!

Ooooh! I'm SO glad to see you've posted another chapter!!!! I haven't read it yet because I'm pressed for time now. I want to sit down and be able to savor it. I write fanfic as well - not anything in your league, of course, but I find it an immensely satisfying way to stretch my creative writing skills (if they are, indeed, skills.) Anyway, hurray for you!
