next to no posting today...

...except for the web video I’d previously scheduled to run.

The something that had to give is finally this site, at least for today.

Normal posting should resume tomorrow.

Good Luck! Hope all goes as you need it to.

Your loyal fans will continue our conversations and maybe we'll even make tweeks' fondest internet martyrdom dreams come true.

Or, we'll start assembling a screen treatment for your historical action hero series in which Tennant as Bazalgette solves the typhoid problem and discovers he's the illegitimate great-grandson of Dick Turpin.

Damn those Ides of March! I just knew yesterday was a bad day to visit the Forum...

Seriously, I hope everything goes okay for you, MaryAnn. Life has become so soap-opera-ish--and not in a good way--for so many people I know that I'd like to think that at least one person I know is due for a happy ending. Or at least a happy chapter in his or her life which is a long, long way from his or her equally happy ending.

Anyway, best of luck. The Net won't be the same without you but I'd like to think we can survive at least one such day.

Alas, I'm not taking a day off, nor am I lazing about. All morning I was in a meeting with a non-movie-related client that I wish I didn't have to work for. Then I was with my accountant going over my tax situation (after being up all night the last two nights doing all the prep work -- entering receipts into Quicken and such -- for that meeting. which is when I might otherwise have been able to prep some posts for this site). I've got about an hour now in which to dash off an assignment for another client, and then I have two screenings back to back.

If I'm lucky I'll be home by 10pm, at which point I'll decide whether I'm too exhausted to stay up to write a review of one of those screenings, which a couple of newspapers need by first thing in the morning, or whether to collapse and hope I can wake up early enough to write that review in the predawn.

A day off would be nice. But it's only a fantasy for me.

I know: Woe is me. :->
