trailer break: ‘The Losers’Take a break from work: watch a trailer... I’m pretty sure I had never seen Jeffrey Dean Morgan in anything before Watchmen, but now I want him to be in everything. And Zoe Saldana is clearly on her way to being in everything -- Avatar, Star Trek, the new Death at a Funeral -- and she’s always awesome. Soon she’ll be the new Gene Hackman: “Oh, she’s good in everything.” She’s a lot prettier than Hackman, though. Oh, and I love Chris Evans, too. Cute and funny and geeky? What could be better? I saw this yesterday, and I liked it a lot. Way more than Kick-Ass, that’s for sure, and the two films are definitely in the same vein. Well, Kick-Ass is trying to be in this vein, anyway... The Losers opens in the U.S. and Canada on April 23, and in the U.K. on May 28. support

List of other comic books that ought to be made into movies:
1) Empowered - by Adam Warren. Started off as a spoof of good-girl bondage/ripped clothing artwork and is now a very decent, intelligent superheroine comic
2) Wonder Woman - WE'RE STILL WAITING! Gaaaaah. What, they trying to grow a clone of Lynda Career or something?
3) Legion of Super-Heroes - potentially good mix-up of superheroes to Star Wars, a futurist gathering of specially-talented youngsters to fight 31st century crime. With Bouncing Boy origin goodness!
4) Doctor Strange - only if the guy at MightyGodKing gets to write/direct ;)
5) Duck Tales - live-action version. Just like Howard the Duck. What could possibly go wrong...?

Excited for Darabont's AMC-funded translation of The Walking Dead.
Worried Preacher is never going to get an episodic transaction.
Wondering how much of the Diggle-scribed comic this single The Losers film covers.

I, for one, will be glad if Preacher never gets a film or television adaptation. While it is a brilliant story, it could not be broadcast on American TV. Period. And the content cuts necessary to make it producible would cripple the story.
So read it again in its original form and be happy for what it is.

MaryAnn: Jeffrey Dean Morgan was in "P.S: I love you", which you've seen before "Watchmen" (just in case you want to go back to that movie to pay more attention to him there).
He also was in "The Accidental Husband" with Uma Thurman and Colin Firth, which I don't think you saw (or would like to see, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Colin Firth notwithstanding: RomCom with 0% rating on rottentomatoes ...)

Morgan mustn't have made much of an impression in *PS,* and no, I haven't seen *The Accidental Husband,* which didn't even open in the U.S., as far as I know.
