Nice to hear another shout-out to nonbelievers--his second, I think, after his Inaugural Address. A nice change from George H.W. Bush saying atheists should be considered neither citizens nor patriots.
Would have been even nicer if he had acknowledged that the aspiration "to build a purposeful and fulfilling life in the fleeting time we have here, a dignified life, a healthy life, a life true to its potential, and a life that serves others" is not only "at the heart of all of the world's great religions" but at the heart of secular humanism as well. Not to mention that our modern notions of human dignity and human potential owe a lot to the secular ideas of the Enlightenment.
