This little flick trounced Prince of Persia at the U.K. box office this past weekend, so I figured I should check out what I can of it from here.
And it is sort of awesomely cheesy, from the class clash that couldn’t be more obvious -- the snooty sleek ballet dancers versus the rough-edged street kids -- to the promised romance between the boy ballet dancer and the girl incapable of wearing her ballcap straight on to the hip-hop cover of “Tiny Dancer.”
I think I like that last bit the best. Or maybe the fact that it’s in 3D: that might be the best...
StreetDance 3D is now playing in the U.K.; no U.S. or Canadian release date has been announced.

Will this even release here in the States? It looks very similar to Step Up 3D which opens in August.

And it's got Charlotte Rampling in it! Er, OK. I suppose you can't do complex psychosexual French arthouse dramas all the time.

Thanks, Ryan. I thought I had a deja vu - I thought I had seen the trailer for this 3D Dance Movie here already, but your comment explains my bewilderment.

I bet this won't open in the U.S. or Canada. Its appeal seems to rest on the appearances of several people from a U.K. talent show, who of course are unknown on this side of the Atlantic.
