more ‘Doctor Who’ geekery

I took a tiny break from writing more of my ongoing Doctor Who fan story, “Tristan’s Father” (though the next installment is coming very soon, I promise), to write a very short story -- 2,500 words -- for Big Finish, the British company that does audio dramas and other cool stuff in connection with a bunch of beloved genre universes, including Doctor Who. Big Finish is putting together a collection of DW short stories to be read as an audiobook, and I submitted “Alone in the Dark” for possible inclusion.

I just learned today that mine was not among those stories chosen for the collection. *sigh* But my loss is your gain: I just posted “Alone in the Dark” over at my fanfic site. It features the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough, and though it does not explicitly reference the little subuniverse of Doctor Who I’ve created with my other stories, it’s definitely part of that.

Enjoy.
