Director Christopher Smith previously made the brutally funny horror comedy Severance. This new film of his doesn’t seem to share that sense of humor. But it does have Sean Bean!
Black Death opens today in the U.K.; no U.S. or Canadian release dates have been announced.
OK, that looks like it might be good! I'm a big fan of medieval history, did a college history paper on the Black Death in England, and lovelovelove Sean Bean, so if this arrives in a US theatre, I might actually go out and see it (get me into a theatre seat for the first time since last fall).
Oooh, crucifixions in 14th century Britain! As if all those hangings, burnings, self-flagellation and buboe agony weren't enough entertainment. I'll give this one a miss, then...
