female gazing at: David Tennant
David Tennant, especially for bronxbee on her special day. (Photo submitted by reader Lorenzo Lamas; not the actor, I’m assuming.) I’m posting a picture like this one every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business. Oh, and also as a fuck-you to Bret Easton Ellis, who thinks women don’t like to look. (If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

How lovely it would be if every Friday the female gazing was of David.

^ Second that
I'm Lorenzo Lamas (no, I'm not the actor!)
I love that photo - he's just beautiful beautiful beautiful. It's from the Writer's Tale - The Final Chapter.

I'm surprised it took so long for Mr Tennant to make an appearance.
Next please.. the beautiful and talented John Simm!

Somehow I knew that would be the picture you chose for DT! :) It is most definitely gazeworthy.
@Bassygalore--on Twitter, every Tuesday is TennantTuesday. So if we're going to gaze weekly (weakly?) at The Tennant, I nominate Tuesday rather than Friday.
Not that I won't gaze on Friday...or any other day!

It seems to me (in the interests of fairness and all...) that Christopher Eccleston ought to appear here too. This thread is a fine idea :-)

karen_p: I sent her a linky to a clip of Othello of Christopher Eccleston and his beautiful body (even though it appears to be utterly hairless, or perhaps he's blonde) in hopes that would be posted.
I must confess, this is the most gaze-worthy Tennant pic I've seen. It is quite nice.
Mind you, I'm waiting for Liev Schreiber to put in an appearance. ;-)

uhm... i confess my brain was deluged in hormone mode when i wrote that... and there are no coincidences said freud. so there you are. you all know my "secret" inner longings.
posted by Dre in Spain (Fri Jun 18 10, 3:44PM)
I don't believe they are "secret innner longings".. they may in fact be shared by most of the female populous... I certainly COMPLETELY understood the meaning. With or without the help of psychiatrists.

Hmm. That's an interesting idea...

I think he looks skinny in his clothes because a) he's skinny, not a bad thing, just a fact and b) he's tall so he looks narrower. I tend to be into lean, tall guys so it works for me! And yeah, the boy's in pretty decent shape. Yummy.
I've heard he did one film where he gets naked. That's probably reason enough for me to see it.
posted by NorthernStar (Sat Jun 19 10, 6:31AM)
@Lady Tenar.
It wasn't a film that DT was naked in, but a stage play What the Butler Saw.
The pictures aren't that hard to find if you want to, erm, research the values of that particular stage production.

Does flash his arse around in Recovery though. He is fucking brilliant in this, if you can get a hold of it.

Last year in a radio interview (during the BBC David Tennant Blitzkrieg in December), -- I don't remember with who, other than it was a female -- he fleetingly mentioned appearing au naturel in 'What the Butler Saw' and that his parents came to see him.
Up to that moment he hadn't really thought much about being naked on stage, but before his entrance, picturing his mum & dad sitting out front gave him pause.
Afterwards, his mum's only comment was, "Oohhh! I haven't seen that in years!"

I think I'll pass on Hartnell. Troughton--I'll reserve judgement until I see what you can dig up. C. Baker--we see him in a shower scene in a TV movie whose name currently escapes me but which featured him, Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Nicola Bryant (whose character was married to C. Baker's character). I'd rather not gaze at that again. Sylvester--could be surprisingly gazeworthy. And the rest--hell, yeah! I'm in!
