‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: Steven Moffat is a teasy bastardDoctor Who honcho and god-in-charge Steven Moffat talks to Digital Spy, wherein he is mean and horrible and tries to make us all feel really really bad about the Doctor and life and the universe and everything. Choice excerpts (which may include spoilers for those not caught up to “The Pandorica Opens”): Episode twelve ended with an almighty trio of cliffhangers. Can you tell us anything at all about episode 13? Will there be any kind of trailer for the Christmas special after the episode? Bastard! Is it Saturday yet? No, wait: I don’t wait it to be Saturday yet, cuz that will mean we won’t have any new Doctor Who till Christmas. (If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.) To paraphrase you, I have a man crush on Mr. Moffatt.

He's enjoying torturing us way too much.
But then again so would I in his place.
Damn You Moffat!!

Hehe
He's lucky he knows what's going to happen (obviously) I'm still counting down the hours, waiting and waiting only to realize I'm going to need to find something else to do with my Saturdays for a bit.

I wonder if David Tennant knows what is going to happen or if he is biting his fingernails at home along with the rest of us.

I was giggling uncontrollably reading the Moff's comments. I so wish I were the showrunner of a wildly popular TV program just so I could have the chance to mindfuck with fans.

Hee... I think I might have scared some co-workers at lunch laughing at that...
Kind of reminds me of the days when Damon Lindeloff would hide things like 'Sawyer dies next week' in spoiler font when he posted on the Fuselage.

The Moff described next weeks ep as "mad" and "the maddest thing". Is he channelling Russell T Davies? I'm used to more down-to-earth language from Steven. Passionate yes, intense yes, but not quite so unhinged :-)
RTD used to give interviews in front of a big picture window, waving his hands around , being enthusiastic and jolly. SM is usually in front of a fireplace, trying to dominate the interviewer by the power of his stare.
Still, I'm all up for "mad".

Damn, just realised we're out with friends for pizza and alcohol on Saturday night! a) I hope the bloody Sky box doesn't conk out while recording and b) I can't decide whether half a bottle of wine and several pints will detract from or enhance my eventual viewing.

Grrrr!!! I think he's enjoying being the showrunner as much as he imagined he would as a child.
