female gazing at: Dennis Quaid
Men-in-uniform week wraps up, but clearly I will have to do this again, because there are so many amazing men in uniform that I did not get to, and must. Because sometimes what a guy is wearing is just as much a turn-on as what he isn’t wearing. Please enjoy Dennis Quaid as a Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitcher from The Rookie. I’m posting a picture like this one every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business. (If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

I've loved him ever since seeing his cocky Gordon Cooper in The Right Stuff.
"Who's the best pilot you ever saw? That's right, you're looking at him!"
Now I'm looking through quotes from that film on IMDB, and even though it was from Cooper's wife, not Gordo himself, it's probably my favorite quote from the film:
"I went back east to a reunion and all my friends could talk about was their husbands' work. How 'dog-eat-dog' and cutthroat it was on Madison Ave. Places like that. Cutthroat. I wondered how they would've felt if every time their husband went in to make a deal, there was a one in four chance he wouldn't come out of that meeting."

Yup, The Big Easy, that's when the devilish charm was at its height.

Oh yes--Big Easy! Sexiest movie ever made --after Body Heat (Speaking of which, have you gazed at William Hurt yet?)

Dennis Quaid should be required to grin at least once in every film, regardless of what he's wearing.

The Bonnie Raitt video just did me in. It was the Grin of Ultimate Sexiness. I didn't have a chance!

I agree wholeheartedly that Dennis is absolutely gorgeous and sexy. I was lucky enough to meet him in person when he was playing with his band the Sharks. He is even better looking in person, and is a true southern gentleman. He is very down to earth, and takes the time to talk to his fans and sign autographs.
The Rookie picture is wonderful, and of course he was at the height of sex appeal in the Big Easy, but I fell in love with him in Frequency. He was soo hot in his firefighter uniform, and when he did the slow dance with Elizabeth Mitchell to Suspicious Minds, it was incredibly sexy. I have loads of pictures of Dennis, so if you want some, email me at the email address in my post.
