trailer break: ‘The Girl Who Played with Fire’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer...

The more I think about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the more I like it. I hope the sequel does not disappoint. A new director -- Daniel Alfredson -- has taken over for this and the final film. At least the cast remains the same.

The Girl Who Played with Fire opens in the U.S. and Canada on July 9, and in the U.K. on August 27.

Interesting that the trailer contains no dialogue whatsoever -- obviously, not to "spoil" that the film isn't in English for subtitle-unfriendly US viewers.

I dealt with subtitles with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon when it was released in the theaters. The tv version is all dubbed and... somehow worse. Hollywood ought to be able to trust the audiences more than they do. We can read dammit! (um, except in places where the FCAT reading scores are below average)

Eee! So excited!

Watched it last night - so good. Haven't read book 3 - yet!
