trailer break: ‘The Dry Land’Take a break from work: watch a trailer... Okay, so not the fun movie about PTSD we’ve been waiting for. Though surely it’s only a matter of time before Hollywood gives us that. Perhaps that’ll be the Iraq war movie people will go see. People used to not mind being depressed or provoked or both by movies. What happened? It’s not like the world itself wasn’t always miserable and fucked up, so that hasn’t changed. We just seem to have less tolerance for anything that isn’t mindless and meaningless these days. The Dry Land opens in the U.S. on July 30; no Canadian or U.K. release dates have been announced.
