the oh-no! DVD of the week: ‘F.A.R.T. The Movie’
F.A.R.T. the Movie, released in 1991, is about a man named Russell who is obsessed with farting. His girlfriend Heather despises farts and becomes angry with Russell because all he does is watch television and fart. She tells him that if the television turns into fart jokes, then Russell won't even leave the house. Then one night, the television does become all about farts. Based on the novel by Oscar Wilde, with a screenplay by Tom Stoppard, and directed by Kenneth Branagh, and starring Dame Judi Dench as Heather, and Ian McKellan as Russell. Remember when this swept the Oscars? I always enjoy seeing great artists get showered with appreciation for their finest works. support

The alternate title actually requires a modicum of wit to devise. It must have hurt to have to think that hard.

In many movies, women are props. Why any woman would want to date a complete loser like Russell is not relevant. She's just a prop to keep the plot, which revolves around Russell, going.

Also, how much you wanna bet that by the end of the movie, Heather learns about the importance of farts and comes to love them, OR, that Russell finds a new "because...um?" girl who luuurves teh fart and dumps that nasty, irrational, fart-hating witch. :D
