female gazing at: Paul Rudd
Funny thing about Paul Rudd: I’ve hated almost every movie he’s been in, but I always love him even in really shitty movies. In fact, one of the things that pisses me off most about Dinner for Schmucks (review coming tomorrow) is that it misuses his innate niceness: he simply is constitutionally incapable of being the cold-hearted asshole the movie needs him to be. But at least I was able to gaze adoringly at him during this latest shitty movie for instant distraction.
Gotta love a guy with a sense of humor to go with the nice bod:
And I do love a man in glasses:
I have, over the course of these female-gazing entries, specifically avoided posting images of the object of my lust with anyone else in the photo to detract from him. But I can’t resist this one. Any man who loves the Muppets goes up about a thousand points on my tally sheet:
(The Mr. Rogers sweater can go, however.) I’m posting pictures like these every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business. (If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

YES!! You have seen the SNL short "Everyone's a Critic," haven't you? More Paul skin! Evidently, his college frat brothers say that he really, really doesn't like wearing clothes.
And he does seem to be a genuinely nice guy -- I'd even watch him with Jennifer Aniston ("The Object of My Affection"), in which he *does* play a nice guy.

I was charmed by Paul Rudd in Clueless, but I really have not been able to get myself to watch many of his other movies. I saw Object of My Affection when it came out, and vaguely remember that I liked it. I also enjoyed his stint on Friends. Other than that, I finally watched the 40 Year Old Virgin a few months ago - it was just painful...I didn't see what was funny about it. So I don't see myself watching any more of the Judd Apatow or Will Ferrel ouevres anytime soon.

*Clueless* is a great film. For Rudd's other tolerable movies, though, you have to turn to the few indies he's done, like *Diggers.* He's in Baz Luhrmann's *Romeo & Juliet,* too. Mostly, he's done stupid bromances.

Ah, a very long-time crush of mine! He's pretty much the sort of guy I'd like to marry, or at least shack up with, someday.
He did play a great (and funny) asshole in Wet Hot American Summer.

I haven't seen SNL in years. I might have to look for that one, though...

Gah, knew eventually you'd have to break your perfect streak. Rudd's never done anything for me.

I've loved him since Romeo + Juliet. He does deserve better movies.

He was on "Friends" as well (although I think he's funnier in other parts).
My Paul Rudd love stretches back to "Clueless". He is one of my favorite guests on "The Daily Show" - he's just hysterical with Jon Stewart (who is also the object of many a female gaze...hint hint, MaryAnn...).
