I think it's pretty clear that it's intentional for this movie, DiCaprio's hair and clothing were chosen to resemble the director's trademark image

Hair, maybe, clothing? It's the most generic rich man outfit imaginable (apart from the fact that Nolan has the first few buttons of his shirt open and wears no tie, so ... yeah)
