omg: Lucas Lee vs. the world, in poster form

The best thing about Scott Pilgrim vs. the World? Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, one of Ramona’s “evil” exes... who just happens to be a mega movie star who headlines movies such as The Game Is Over 2:

Empire Online has a gallery of posters for Lucas Lee flicks, each of which is, individually, funnier than the entirety of Scott Pilgrim. The one above is my favorite, I think -- it’s hard to choose -- though I do agree with Empire that the highlight may well be the tagline for Action Doctor:

The good news is you're going to live. The bad news is he's going to kill you!

As Empire says, “Someone needs to make this film AT ONCE.”

Even though I hate Scott Pilgrim, I nominate Edgar Wright to direct, because he’s proven with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz that he can maintain spoofiness for the length of a feature film, and also that he can bring heart to a spoof, too.

I wish he could have done that with Scott Pilgrim...

and cue Team Scott in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2...

I dunno if I can trust a Lucas Lee film: he relies too much on his stunt doubles...

Phew, thanks marshall, thought for a moment there we'd have to invoke the emergency inflatable fanboy.

Now if only they'd make The Expendables without the shakycam...

I've gotta go with Let's Hope There's a Heaven (tagline: "Kiss me, I'm dying"), obviously based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Wow, what's the deal with the sarcasm on this website? Some people liked Scott Pilgrim and others didn't. It's the way the world works. Grow up, gents.

After reading and nodding along to your insightful review, I'm even more disinclined to see Scott Pilgrim than I was already, but I must admit "One good cop . . . is finished . . . fooling around . . . again," cracked me up. As well as the "Thrilled to Be Here" poster which apparently features Lucas Lee . . . four times?

@History, for what it's worth, I liked Scott Pilgrim, and a lot of humor along the lines of the Lucas Lee posters shows up in the film.

I'd consider at least checking the movie out.

Oh, I may end up seeing it, I just don't feel especially driven to it. I'll probably end up renting it after it's long out of the public eye, but only because of a massive store of goodwill for Edgar Wright. I may borrow the books off a friend, though, since people are saying that the characterization is better in those.
