female gazing at: Aidan Quinn
Aidan Quinn is in Flipped -- as a nice, sensitive, artistic dad -- and he’s simply delicious.
Why is it that men can look great when they’re young
but even better as they get older?
So not fair. Except we get to look at them.
I’m posting pictures like these every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business. (If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Hey! There are a lot of women who look better as they age too! Look at Sophia Loren and Meryl Streep, Cicely Tyson and Gong Li, Michelle Yeoh, Helen Mirren, Alfre Woodard... I could go on and on!

May I make a request for the next female gaze? How about Benedict Cumberbatch, in celebration of the awesomeness that is Sherlock?

What a fabulous choice. If only you could also have female listening too because the man has a beautiful voice.
As for Sherlock female gazing. I think Benedict Cumberbatch is a superb actor and appears to be a lovely human being, but his looks are, I think, not his best feature. But that's just my opinion, for sure.

With respect, I think Benedict, while his features are certainly interesting and slightly strange, is not unattractive. Some shots of him in Sherlock are really superb. Perhaps it's that his face reminds me a bit of Hugh Laurie in his younger days -- long and thin, with gorgeous eyes. But that's just me, and I don't run the gazing.
And I forgot to say how great a choice Aidan is :)

cummberbatch as Sherlock Holmes is *very* compelling -- his icy blue eyes and haughty physicality are really attractive. i'd have to see him in a few other roles to see if it's the character he's portraying that's attractive (as is all too often the case) or he and his talent that is attractive. dearie me. now i'll have to watch more british stuff. *sad*

I'm so happy to see the Pics. I have been female gazing Aidan Quinn since Legends of the Fall, and I originally went to see that movie for Brad Pitt. How interesting that it was Brad Pitt who faught for Aidan to be in the movie. Aidan is my muse.

I'm not really familiar with this guy, but am I alone in thinking he looks like a completely different person in every one of these pictures? Must be one of those chameleonic character actors.
