female gazing at: Keanu Reeves

There are too many pretty pictures of Keanu Reeves on teh Interwebs for my eyes to take in.

Look, he’s not always sad:

Though I do like when he’s all noirish, too:

Vroom:

I’m posting pictures like these every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business.

(If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.)

Constantine is a totally fun picture. I consider him to be a very physical actor (he does more with his body than with his eyes), and I always cite that film as a great example of his physicality.

So, I read "noirish" as "no Irish," which seemed terribly gingerist xD

Even moody and scruffy, he's gorgeous! Keep the pics coming, MaryAnn. Although we probably shouldn't encourage paparazzi shots as he hates them so much. There'll never be another Keanu!

I think he's especially gorgeous when moody and scruffy!

I recently rewatched Much Ado About Nothing, and love the part where Keanu says something to the effect of "What advantage can we take of this?" and actually does a curled-fingers evil-villain hand gesture. If he had mustachios to twirl... :-)

@ Tyler: Finally, someone else who appreciates "Constantine." I love that movie. Reeves is great in it, plus in my opinion, the portrayal of Satan is the best I've ever seen in a movie.

Hey, maybe that's a discussion topic: favorite Devil (&/or angels or God/s?) in film!

@Kate: Yeah, I enjoy it. Slightly bitter reluctant hero in a black suit wandering around kicking ass is a formula I am a sucker for, and again, I think Reeves is really good in the movie.

Being a weird film nerd I also get a very hard-to-explain thrill from watching something non-existent, like CG, interact with something physical, like an actor. I think it comes from watching this featurette on The Lost World DVD where they were showing the filming of the ending where the T-Rex is in San Diego, and they showed this city bus that was designed to self-crumple, and they would animate the dinosaur smashing it later. I just think that's fascinating. There's some of that in Constantine, like the part where Keanu is covered in bugs.

BEST FEMALE GAZING EVER!

I have loved Keanu since the early days. I admit loving Bill and Ted's as well as Pointe Break.

You are so right that there are so many great professional shots of him :)

BEST FEMALE GAZING EVER!

he's just gorgeous.

Love that one with the bike

John Constantine should really be blond and british but it's Keanu so I don't mind.
