female gazing at: Jack Davenport

Today’s Region 1 DVD release of FlashForward makes me miss Jack Davenport’s unbearable hotness:

I actually have a DVD of that Ultraviolet thing he was in years ago -- must get around to watching it someday soon...

Pirate! (I much preferred the scruffy Norrington):

Looks like he does scrumptious and scruffy in real life, too:

I’m posting pictures like these every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit -- and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business.

(If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.)

oooh baby! he was also delicious in "Coupling" (that's where i first saw him, when PBS was running that late at night) and in The Talented Mr. Ripley...

Don't like that opening picture of him at all, but then it lends extra zing! to the others. KILLER smile. Killer.

Yes, yes, yes, you must watch Ultraviolet. It's excellent, and also stars Idris Elba and Susannah Harker, so our Jack doesn't have to shoulder all the decorative duties by himself.

Surprised none of you saw him as Miles in the excellent BBC series This Life. Didn't that make it across the big pond?

Dirty, scruffy Norrington was possibly my favorite thing about Pirates 2 and 3.

Given how both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant had previously worked for RTD, Jack was one of my serious guesses for the 11th Doctor.

Can't like him because I saw him in This Life, Jan.

But he is married to the great Michelle Gomez so he gets points for that.
