screencap Friday: what the flick? #138 -- now with prizes!

Friday fun! Here’s a screen capture from a TV show on DVD. Guess the TV show -- you don’t need to guess the episode, just the show. And if you assume it’s something I’ve said I’m watching or said I like, you’re not necessarily on the right track.

NEW! Now with prizes! Guess correctly, and take your pick from among the movie- and TV-related goodies I’ve got lying around and need to get rid of. It doesn’t matter if you’ve won stuff from me before. It doesn’t matter where on the planet you are: I’ll send prizes anywhere (though you’re responsible for any customs or import duties a box of goodie may incur).

One guess per comment -- no fair hogging all the guesses. It’s okay to guess again once I tell you you’re wrong.

Star Trek: Enterprise?

(Haven't seen more than 2 or 3 episodes of that series, but the person in the screencap is wearing something that sort of resembles a Starfleet uniform, so it's the best guess I've got right now.)

That really does look like an old school Star Trek outfit, but I think that's to throw us off so

Land of the Lost

Original Series Trek was almost my guess, but back in the '60s for some reason Starfleet regulations rarely allowed women to wear trousers, so I'm staying with my first guess, leaving the Original Series open if someone else wants to guess it, in accordance with the Rules of Screencap Club.

Thunderbirds!

Star Trek: Voyager?

You guys? Seriously? Have I ever been so obvious?

It's not any version of *Star Trek.*

but back in the '60s for some reason Starfleet regulations rarely allowed women to wear trousers

*snort* That's not a woman in the picture.

Not *Land of the Lost* or *Thunderbirds,* either.

Land of the Giants?

Looks like it's from the pilot episode of LOST.

Well, fine! As if I hadn't already proved beyond any doubt that I'm no good at this game, for my next guess it's back to my old standby, now approaching Infinite Improbability: Manimal.

*snort* That's not a woman in the picture.

Hmm. I guess it was something about the hair that misdirected me there. Makes no difference in this context; since it wasn't any iteration of Trek, my guess wouldn't have been right either way.

Batman?

Man From Uncle

Robot Chicken?

*Robot Chicken* is a *hilarious* guess, but... no.

No to the others, too.

"Bonanza"?

Space 1999?

The Swiss Family Robinson?

The Prisoner?

Mission Impossible?

Gentle Ben?

Fantasy Island?

Reminds me of an episide of Blake's Seven I barely remember. So with no further thought than that:

Blake's Seven

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons?

No no no no no.

I thought this one would be easy...

The Monkees?

Lost in Space?

I have a feeling I will feel particularly stupid when this one is revealed. It seems so familiar...

Gilligan's Island?

The A-Team?

Nope.

Terrahawks?

The original Battlestar Galactica?

UFO?

The New People?

logan's run?

Mysterious Island?

Nope to all.

And remember that it's a TV show, not a movie.

Big Bang Theory?

The costuming says 1960s. Wild Wild West is my offer.

Flipper?

Time Tunnel?

I have a feeling I'm going to hate myself no matter what I guess...

That said, is it Wizards and Warriors?

Hawaii Five-O?

Lassie?

Wow. Still no one has guessed.

Here's a hint: It is indeed a show dating from the 1960s.

The Avengers?

Dr. Who?

Is it Get Smart?

Nip/Tuck

The Invaders?

The Saint?

Joe 90.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

aviv wins: It's *The Avengers.*

I'll email you, aviv, about getting you a prize.

Awesome! That was a total guess! I've never even actually seen the Avengers television show! :-)

I thought this one would be easy...

*snort*No wonder. That guy totally looks like John Steed...
