‘Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D’ didn’t screen for critics...
...but Screen Gems was nice enough to set up a courtesy screening for us critics this morning, and I’m on my way to it right now. Hopefully it’s so bad that I’ll be able to rant about it in a fun way...
I think "so bad it's good" is all she can reasonably expect.
but I'm pretty sure it ignores the ending of the third one with the dozens of Alices
This is not a series known for respecting continuity. It's long since left the story of its video game roots, and that story was itself pretty convoluted.
I wasn't talking about the ending of one of the games, on the ending of the third movie there was dozens of Alices on the screen promising revenge againt Umbrella
Of course! But the whole "not screened for critics" thing doesn't inspire much hope.

I haven't seen the third movie, but that wasn't really my point. What I was saying is that this mega-franchise has a history of its many incarnations not really fitting together very well. Given that, it wouldn't be surprising if the movies started outright contradicting each other.

at least it's supposed to be filmed with real 3D, not the post-converted kind
but I'm pretty sure it ignores the ending of the third one with the dozens of Alices, which would be my ultimate fantasy, after an eleven way

Wouldn't you rather it be good?

Actually, the movie does follow up on this.
