retro trailer: ‘Help!’

In honor to what would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday today, a look back at one of the silliest movies ever made. And I mean that as a compliment.

It’s hard to imagine a band today making a movie like this. We have teen pop stars making very dumb movies, but nothing on the Monty Python-esque level of sophisticated ridiculousness like Help! It’s almost as if we’ve forgotten that silly doesn’t have to mean stupid...

Help! is available on DVD in Region 1 from Amazon.com and from Amazon.ca, and in Region 2 from Amazon U.K.
