‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: new Eighth Doctor costume?

The most interesting thing about this is learning that Paul McGann is a big ol’ geek who likes to play dressup at conventions.

Also revealed is a new sonic screwdriver, courtesy of Weta Workshop, the wizards behind the effects on The Lord of the Rings.

What? Would Weta be involved is this were merely McGann larking around? No one at DWNP seems to know:

[T]he new costume - still a work in progress - is said to be used for future promotional purposes.

No other information in known at present, but it is believed to have the blessing of the BBC.
