the FlickFilosopher forum is upYou asked for a way to talk amongst yourselves more formally, so here it is: FlickFilosopher: The Forum! Yes, with an official exclamation point and everything. Here’s the catch: While anyone who registers at the forum may post replies to existing topics, only FlickFilosopher.com subscribers may start new topics. A subscription is at least $1 per month (in any currency) or an annual donation of at least $12/£10/the equivalent in your currency, via either PayPal or Amazon Payments. If you’re not already a subscriber, you can find the links you need to subscribe here, or in the lefthand column on this page. Once you’re a subscriber, register for the forum, then email me at thechick@flickfilosopher.com with your forum user name and the email address associated with your PayPal or Amazon Payments account (so I can match you up with your subscription). I’ll upgrade your forum profile to “subscriber,” which will allow you to start new topics. (Oh, and another catch: You will see interstitial ads once in a while. Sorry, but it’s necessary... at least until the subscriber base is quite a bit larger than it is now.) The forum would not be possible without the help of Julian Porter, who adapted the basic bbpress installation for FlickFilosopher needs. Visit Julian online at www.porternet.org (where he keeps his fictional writing, music, etc.) and www.jpembedded.co.uk (his robotics company). Three cheers for Julian, and I promise to buy him a pint or four next time I’m in the U.K. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
