‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: a bit of the extras from the Season 5 DVD set

The DVD box set of Matt Smith’s first season -- series 5 of the rebooted Doctor Who -- hits DVD next week in both Region 1 and Region 2 [Amazon U.S.] [Amazon Canada] [Amazon U.K.]. And for the first time, I believe, the Region 1 set is actually cheaper than the Region 2 set. (It had been the other way around.)

I had thought I’d have a chance to revisit this season before the DVDs were released, but that never happened. So this is just the boot in the ass I need to get me back for another look, and to see if things make more sense in those earlier episodes in light of what actually came later... as opposed to what I thought would be coming later.

There might be just enough time to get through Season 5 again before the Christmas episode...
