question of the day: Is Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg really the Person of the Year 2010?

Time magazine this morning named Mark Zuckerberg -- boy billionaire founder of Facebook and subject of an unflattering portrait in The Social Network, a film that is starting to sweep critics awards -- its Person of the Year for 2010.

In a busy news year with lots of major stories impacting the world -- from the BP spill to Wikileaks to Afghanistan officially becoming the longest war in American history -- does Time’s choice make sense?

Is Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg really the Person of the Year 2010? If not Zuckerberg, whom would you choose as the Person of the Year? (See the list of other potential PotY and how readers voted on them at Time.com.)

Maybe Zuckerberg is a good choice, with the Internet only growing in influence this year, and social networking exploding, and how we interact continuing to change so dramatically thanks to sites such as Facebook.

I dunno. But now I’m off to check my farm at Farmville...
