‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: Dalek Christmas tree

What is it about Christmas and Daleks? Is there some Yuletide connection with Skaro that I’ve missed all these years? What on Earth -- or beyond -- would inspire someone to create a Dalek Christmas tree?
