to give or to keep: Star Wars Chubbies: Jango and Boba Fett nesting dollsUntil I run out of cool giftable stuff to tell you about or until we run out of days till Christmas, I’ll be sharing some neat-o things that your geeky pals might enjoy, or that you might want to give to yourself, if you’ve been especially good this year. (Remember: There are 12 days of Christmas, and that clock doesn’t even start ticking till Christmas Day on Saturday. For the atheistic and pagan, consider that the Roman midwinter orgy of Saturnalia ran for seven days. So it’s not too late to buy gifties for your friends no matter what their or your Yuletide inclinations are.)
Chubby used to mean something different when I was a kid. I mean, I could say, “Han Solo gives me a girl-chubby,” and that wouldn’t have anything to do with cute little nesting dolls. These little monsters are being sold with the tagline “The face of evil has never been cuter!” But I’m not sure “evil” is quite the word for Boba Fett. Dude was a freelancer, trying to make his own way in the galaxy. Maybe he was expedient, but that’s hardly evil, is it? Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
