‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: the Doctor saves the British National Television Awards

Ever have those nightmares when you oversleep and miss an important test or an airplane or something? Well, the Doctor -- in a new scene written by Steven Moffat -- comes to the rescue of National Television Awards host Dermot O’Leary, when he actually does oversleep and miss his big job. There’s lots of insidery jokes about British TV, of course, some of which you won’t get if you don’t watch a lot of British TV. Even I’m not sure who everyone is here (though I do get the EastEnders joke):
