foxes!I can hear foxes screaming outside. It’s like this almost every night. The little buggers run rampant over nocturnal London -- some people like them cuz they keep the rat population down, but lots of people consider them pests. Once in a while in the Bronx I’d hear cats fighting (or mating). Sometimes I’d hear angry squirrels chittering at one another (or at birds -- that was always good for a laugh). Occasionally the raccoons who’d venture out on garbage night in search of a meal would make weird little twitters as they moved about. But I’ve never heard anything like the foxes. They make the eeriest noises. Sometimes they sound like babies shrieking. Sometimes they sound like Giger aliens fighting. So far it hasn’t gotten into my dreams and turned them into nightmares. So far. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
