plans for the NYC meetup, Saturday, January 15Here’s the schedule of festivities for this Saturday, January 15, in Manhattan: ~5:30 - 7:30: The Algonquin Hotel lobby bar, West 44th between Fifth and Sixth, for drinks (there’s also food here) ~7:45 - ~10:00: The Long Room, West 44th between 6th and 7th, an Irish pub, for food ~10:00 - ???: Reunion Bar, West 44th and 9th, a surf dive bar, for continuing the party (there’s also food here) I hope the moving around to a variety of locations gives everyone the opportunity to drop by at some point at a place where they’ll feel comfortable. Anyone and everyone is welcome to stay for the whole night, of course... but I’m not making any reservations, so we’ll be playing it all by ear and hoping that no place is too crowded. (The Long Room will be the chanciest proposition, but since we’ll be arriving as the pretheater crowd is leaving, it should be all right, unless two dozen people show up.) Chime in here if you think you might show up for at least some of the evening. I leave on Tuesday, January 18, for London, and I don’t know when I’ll be back, so this will be the last meetup in NYC for a while. Next up: London meetups!
