‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: royal wedding Dalek

Doctor Who fan Chris Balcombe spent a week painting the Dalek red, white and blue and decorating it with union jacks and photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Mr Balcombe, 51, who has operated Daleks for the BBC and owns three, said ‘It’s not every day we get a royal wedding, so it was well worth the effort.

'Besides, I bet our Friday bash is going to be the only street party with a Dalek serving up the grub!’

What does a royal wedding Dalek say? Metro.co.uk guesses: “Extermi-cake!” *groan*
