question of the day: Is it too soon for a sitcom about an army bomb disposal squad? It was 20 years after the Korean War ended before CBS gave us M*A*S*H. Now, the BBC has announced a new sitcom about a bomb-disposal squad in Afghanistan... while the war is still on. From the Independent: The BBC is courting controversy by filming a sitcom about bomb-disposal experts serving in the Middle East. As I’ve said many times before, an idea can work, depending on how you use it. But sometimes nerves are too raw for even the best execution of an idea to succeed. What do you think? Is it too soon for a sitcom about an army bomb disposal squad? (If you have a suggestion for a QOTD, feel free to email me.
