trailer break: ‘Priest 3D’

This sounds like a joke -- Priest? 3D? And then you see the trailer and it looks like a joke, something invented to poke fun at the excesses and ludicrousies of comic book storytelling. Just mash up some stuff that looks cool on its own -- Catholic priests; ninja throwing stars; zombies -- and it must automatically be X times cooler together.

I’d say “Poor Paul Bettany,” but he keeps lining himself up for this shit. He really needs to take a break from the ridiculous fantasy action horror movies and do some little indies...

Priest 3D opens in the U.K. on May 6, and in the U.S. and Canada on May 13.
