‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: hug a Dalek, squeeze the TARDIS
I want. I don’t know what this soft squeezable talking TARDIS says -- “Do fish have fingers?” perhaps, or maybe, “My thief!” -- but I like it. Forbidden Planet says it’ll be available in August. Just the idea of hugging the TARDIS seems wonderful to me.
I’m not so sure about hugging a Dalek, however. I mean, I guess a Dalek could really use a hug, but I don’t know that I want to be the one to dispense it. But if you’re a brave sort of soul, you could give it a try. Also available next month at Forbidden Planet, and also available in blue. (I just knew the introduction of those colorful Daleks was about being able to sell more new toys to us geeks.) The Daleks talk too: it’s pretty easy to guess what they say. Hint: It’s probably not “Biting’s excellent. It’s like kissing. Only there’s a winner.” (If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.)
