The Tree of Life (trailer)

Having now seen the film, I can say that this trailer is more moving and more coherent than the film itself. Though it makes me feel even more so than the movie does that somewhere, Stanley Kubrick is going, “Seriously, dude? Why not just have an ape throw a bone into the air that turns into Sean Penn?”

The Tree of Life is now playing in the U.S. and Canada; it opens in the U.K. on July 8.
