question of the day: What would you name a fictional spaceship?
LVJ is a no-budget indie science fiction action comedy movie that’s been in production for a decade. Much of the odyssey of making the film has been unfolding online, and now the producers are inviting input from the Web. Apparently the film will feature a big space battle fought, on the Earth side, by these imaginary futuristic military spaceplanes inspired by the space shuttle:
Everyone is invited to submit a cool spaceship name, many of which will be chosen for ships in the film. Click over to the LVJ site for information on how to enter and what you’ll get if your name is chosen. Today’s question was prompted by the LVJ contest, but stretches as far as your science fiction imagination takes you: What would you name a fictional spaceship? And why?
